Why, if this interval of being can be spent serenely
in the form of a laurel, slightly darker than all
other green, with tiny waves on the edges
of every leaf (like the smile of a breeze) –: why then
have to be human – and, escaping from fate,
keep longing for fate? . . .
-Rainer Maria Rilke
Home Why Inspirations Who Contact
My photography is in response from a call from Rilke to,
“Speak and Bear Witness.”
This is a work in progress. Some things work, others don’t. This is a direct reflection of it’s creator.
Why am I here on this beautiful planet?
This site started as an attempt discover an answer to this nagging question. I’ve determined that I will never find an answer. It is just not out there to be found. Thus, I attempt to create a reason to be here. This site is a part of that creation.
